The NUMERICS - H2020 MSCA COFUND doctoral program has reached its official end.
After six and a half years, from October 1st, 2018, to March 31st, 2025, it is time to summarize the results of 45 international PhD scholarships and the aim of the NUMERICS project.
The PhD projects, conducted in CEA laboratories, focused on numerical simulation and scientific computing to foster research and knowledge transfer between universities, research institutes, and industries. Their goal was to strengthen innovation and the competitiveness of European industries in key sectors such as energy, transport, health, and climate.

By training PhD students to the highest standards of excellence, the program contributes to the emergence of a new generation of researchers ready to tackle Europe’s societal challenges.
A success and a project completion were highlighted on March 20 in Grenoble at the GIANT Innovation Campus during the "Junior Scientist & Industry Annual Meeting, 2025" a networking day for young researchers from industry and startups.
The fellows of the NUMERICS programme , Paul Kleij and Gerardo Emanuel Granados were also present at this event.
This was an oppurtinity to exchange with the other PhDs , the industries and to present the results of the project.
