The FabLab collaborative space dedicated to design, digital manufacturing and prototyping and learning by doing (Do-it-Yourself or DIY).
Ø Includes many machines and their use is facilitated by digital interfaces
Ø Manufacture of unique objects: research devices, parts, functional or decorative objects, replacement objects, prostheses, tools, etc.
Ø Materials: thermoplastic polymers (PLA, ABS, PVA, HIPS), zirconia filament
NUMERICS students are invited to attend the FabLab at CEA-INSTN Saclay for personal and research purposes. The open and free access to the FabLab is an additional benefit provided to CEA PhDs students.
Use of INSTN-Saclay Fablab from Monday to Friday:
8:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m & 1:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
